About Sonoma Partners
Sonoma Partners has been active in the technology consulting space since 2001, building a reputation over more than two decades of continuous operation. The organization has grown to a workforce of 50 to 249 employees, giving it the scale to run multiple concurrent engagements for demanding clients. Its service lineup includes Mobile App Development, Cross Platform App Development, Wearable App Development, AR App Development, and UI/UX Design, a set that reflects strong attention to how users interact with devices beyond the traditional smartphone screen. This focus on wearables and augmented reality alongside solid design fundamentals suggests Sonoma Partners is well equipped for clients pushing into next-generation user experiences. Hourly rates of $100-$149 keep the firm competitively positioned, while an average project cost of $2,500,000 signals that Sonoma Partners regularly takes on large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives rather than small pilot projects. Organizations planning ambitious, high-investment digital transformation efforts involving mobile, wearable, and AR technology will find a partner here with the scale to match that ambition.

Harry Drummond / IT Programme Director - Northgate Insurance GroupDec 22, 2025
Project summary: Our hospital network required a unified patient data platform that could integrate with existing EMR systems while meeting all relevant data protection obligations.
Our previous agency had given us a platform that worked well enough to demo and fell apart under real load. This team came in, diagnosed the root causes accurately, and rebuilt the critical components without disrupting the live service. The performance improvements were immediate and measurable — page load times dropped by 60 percent, error rates dropped to near zero, and our support team has far fewer incidents to deal with. The contrast with our previous experience could not have been sharper.
Technical depth across the full stack, honest and timely communication, delivered exactly what was scoped without surprise additions to the invoice
The initial project brief document they required was more detailed than we were used to providing, but in hindsight that rigour was part of why the project ran so smoothly

Project summary: Our existing platform had grown organically over several years and the accumulated technical debt was beginning to affect both performance and our ability to ship new features.
The technical quality of the work is the easiest thing to praise, but what I want to highlight is the communication culture on this team. Every question got a same-day response. Every risk got flagged before it became an issue. When we needed to change direction mid-project — a business decision on our side — they absorbed the change professionally, requoted fairly, and kept momentum going. That flexibility is something you cannot assess in a proposal and it turned out to be one of the most valuable things about working with them.
Domain knowledge that went beyond generic expertise into our specific industry, willingness to push back constructively, automated test coverage that gave us deployment confidence
We underestimated the internal resource commitment required on our side during discovery — the team warned us, we did not listen fully, and the first sprint was slower as a result

Project summary: Last-mile delivery performance had become a brand issue and we needed a real-time tracking and exception management platform that both our team and our clients could use.
The thing I appreciate most in retrospect is that they were honest when something was harder than expected. Twice during the project the team came to us proactively to say that a particular component needed more time to do properly and explained why cutting corners would create problems later. We gave them the time. Both decisions were correct. The resulting product is solid and we have had none of the post-launch instability that plagued our last two technology projects.
Collaborative working style that made them feel like an extension of our team, excellent written communication for our async timezone relationship, clean and readable codebase
The volume of quality documentation they produced was genuinely impressive but also meant our team needed dedicated time to review it properly — a minor process point, not a complaint
